Business Transition: A New Direction

Business Transition: A New Direction

After nearly 10 years in business, I’ve been reflecting on the projects that have meant the most to me and to my customers.

The ones that stand out are often the most personal: a handkerchief given in memory of a loved one, a baby gift stitched with a name and birth date, a pillow made from meaningful details, or a customer-provided item turned into something special.

As Poole’s Embroidery moves into its next chapter, I am putting more emphasis on local apparel orders, special projects, and the kind of custom work that allows me to help customers from the planning stage through the finished embroidery.

I will still accept small orders, specialty projects, and meaningful keepsakes, and I will continue to offer select items such as plush animals and handkerchiefs. However, I will be placing less emphasis on maintaining a large online storefront of ready-to-personalize items.

Instead, I want Poole’s Embroidery to be known as a local embroidery business where customers, businesses, schools, groups, and families can turn for quality custom embroidery, apparel options, and thoughtful service.

This means putting more attention on larger orders, special-order apparel, and helping customers choose items that are a good fit for embroidery.

Customer-provided items will still be considered, but my goal is to grow the apparel side of the business so I can offer more guidance on quality, sizing, color options, and embroidery results.

This direction feels like a natural fit for where the business is now and where I would like it to grow.
